The objective of the present study is to explore Theodorakis' refiguration of the idea of Homeric nostos in his most recent song-cycle entitled Odyssey with poetry by Kostas Kartelias. The work was set to music in 2006 and was recorded as a CD by Legend Recordings in 2007 with Maria Farandouri as a soloist and orchestration by Irina Velentinova.
